Pete Sklaroff, guitarist & guitar teacher - Fundamental Changes for guitar

Pete Sklaroff

Pete Sklaroff is the former Assistant Head of Music and Head of Jazz Studies at Leeds College of Music in West Yorkshire (where he taught for over 20 years) and he now works freelance as a professional guitarist, session musician, clinician and music educator/guitar tutor in the UK. His career spans over 25+ years as a professional musician and he has toured and recorded extensively in that time.

Pete is a highly respected and much sought after guitar teacher and has taught literally hundreds of musicians over the years both privately and within the Higher Education sector in the UK. His own studies have included lessons with the world famous jazz pedagogue Charlie Banacos amongst others.

Pete’s guitar playing has drawn praise from many musical quarters, ranging from the legendary rock singer David Coverdale through to finger style acoustic master Adrian Legg. He has also toured in support of a wide variety of artists ranging from ‘Tears For Fears’‘Runrig’, ‘The Pretty Things’, Roger Chapman and Labi Siffre through to ‘The Damned’ and Jack Bruce to name but a few.

His most recent session work includes recording the debut album for singer/songwriter Saffron Byass, which has just been released and was performed live at the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival last year.

Pete specializes in improvisational approaches to guitar playing and the study of harmonic techniques for both Jazz and Popular music styles and more information on his musical activities can be found on his website

I was waiting for a book like this one. It is very easy to follow with clear and concise concepts.
References to famous songs allow you to understand how the theory is applied in real life. Audio tracks are excellent too.
